The 2024 Subaru Forester is a compact crossover SUV that excels in rugged environments while providing a slew of convenient and comfortable features.

Trim Levels of the 2024 Subaru Forester: From Standard to Luxurious

Base Forester

Base models are motivated by a 182-hp 2.5L flat-4 engine that mates with Subaru’s engaging Lineartronic continuously variable transmission. Along with a fully independent suspension, the base Forester comes with Symmetrical AWD.

17-inch steel wheels are standard as are LED headlights that turn in the same direction as the steering wheel. Standard amenities include high-quality cloth upholstery, a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen system. Driver assists like automated emergency braking and adaptive cruise control add great peace of mind.

Forester Premium

Sporting LED fog lights and versatile roof rails with tie-down points, the Forester Premium already begins to feel like a top-spec trim. Added off-road capability comes from this model’s standard X-Mode system. X-Mode makes many subtle adjustments to the vehicle’s operations, including the throttle and transmission, to provide you with improved control in especially challenging conditions.

In this trim, the Forester’s cabin has several upgrades that range from a panoramic power sunroof and keyless entry to a 10-way power driver’s seat and a 4G LTE mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. Selecting the Premium’s option package gets you a power rear liftgate and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts.

Forester Sport

The Sport model stands out from other trims with its gloss black body trim and 18-inch wheels in a black finish. Its cabin receives racy touches, as well, such as seats with orange contrast stitching. For a more engaging drive, it adds steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and throttle-sharpening SI-Drive technology.

Forester Wilderness

Avid outdoor enthusiasts will definitely want to consider the Forester Wilderness since it’s the most rugged in the lineup. That’s thanks to enhancements like 9.2 inches of ground clearance, lower gearing, and durable skid plates. The exterior is unique for its exclusive Wilderness badging and 17-inch wheels fitted with all-terrain tires from Yokohama.

Forester Limited

Buyers can think of the Forester Limited as an upgraded version of the Premium. The 17-inch wheels are replaced with a set of 18-inchers, plus the trim is equipped with body-colored side mirrors featuring integrated turn signals.

Forester Touring

The Forester Touring builds on the Limited’s list of features with the inclusion of an 8-way power front passenger’s seat, a 2-position driver memory system, and a 9-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system. It’s also notable for its DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, which uses a camera to detect signs of excessive driver fatigue, and hand gesture-activated climate controls.
