You could spend days exploring Shelby Farms Park, with more than 40 miles of multi-use hiking, biking, and walking trails. On the hottest days of summer, stop by the Water Park Sprayground. The park also features laser tag, a treetop obstacle course, horseback riding, and even a resident herd of buffalo you could spot during your visit. In addition to these fun ways to spend a day, the park has more than 20 lakes and bodies of water where you can fish for largemouth bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. You can visit Shelby Farms Park between sunrise and sunset on any day of the year. It's located at 6903 Great View Dr N and connects with downtown Memphis by the 10.65-mile Shelby Farms Greenline. 2. Whet Thursday at the Metal Museum If you're fascinated by the Metal Museum in Memphis, now's your chance to visit after-hours. This cultural attraction offers free admission on Thursday, July 27, and Thursday, August 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. You can enjoy live metal smithing demonstrations, musical performances, food trucks, and lawn games. Exhibits showcase the art and craft of final metal and include both permanent and rotating collections as well as a sculpture garden.
