The Subaru Impreza vs The Toyota Corolla:

Check out all the great ways that the Subaru Impreza dominates over its top competitor from Toyota, the new Toyota Corolla sedan. As you read on about these two midsize sedans in Memphis, TN, we here at Jim Keras Subaru encourage you to check out our new Subaru Impreza inventory and see if your next daily driver awaits you. You may schedule a test drive and come see us here on Covington Pike, located conveniently less than a half hour outside of West Memphis, TN.

Performance and Traction

While both of these midsize sedans feature four-cylinder engines underneath their respective hoods, the standard engine of the Impreza generates up to 152 total horsepower versus the 132 total horsepower of the Toyota Corolla four-door sedan. The Subaru Impreza also comes standard with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, but the Toyota Corolla sticks with its standard front-wheel drive for all trim levels.

Interior Space

Through its four-door sedan model, the Subaru Impreza contributes a total passenger volume of 112.1 cubic feet allowing all passengers to enjoy flexible leg room and hip room on the drive out to Germantown. The Toyota Corolla offers a passenger volume of 97.5 cubic feet, while its hatchback model falls even shorter in passenger space versus the Impreza five-door hatchback.

Driving through Memphis or Bartlett can prove difficult during the winter months, so your drive might require some extra conveniences from your car. The Subaru Impreza offers an available windshield wiper de-icer, while its base trim comes available with front fog lights (standard on higher trims). Interestingly, the Corolla does not offer fog lights or a wiper de-icer at all, despite the fact that both features make appearances on other models within the Toyota lineup.
